- You may use SmartFill for your own personal or business paperwork.
- Your documents are yours. We don't receive them and claim no rights to them.
- You're responsible for what you sign, fill and send, and for checking that a document is correct.
- Pro is billed by Apple or Google; you manage and cancel it in your store account.
- The app is provided as is, and our liability is limited as set out below.
About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and SmartTools Technologies Inc. ("we", "us") about your use of SmartFill: PDF Fill & Sign ("SmartFill", "the app"). By installing or using the app, you agree to them. If you use the app for a company, you agree for that company too. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Your licence to use SmartFill
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use SmartFill on devices you own or control, under these terms and the rules of the App Store or Google Play you got it from. We keep all rights in the app, its design and its name.
You agree not to copy, resell, reverse-engineer or modify the app, except as the law allows, and not to use it to break the law or anyone's rights.
Your documents
You own the documents and information you create or open in SmartFill. They stay on your device, and we don't receive them (see our Privacy policy). You're responsible for keeping copies of anything important.
Signatures, forms and redaction
SmartFill places the signature you draw, type or photograph onto a document. Whether an electronic signature is accepted depends on the law and on the person or office receiving the document. Check what's required before you rely on it.
You're responsible for the content of what you fill in, sign and send. Before sharing a redacted document, look over the result: redaction removes what is under each box you apply, so make sure every box covers what you meant to hide.
SmartFill Pro
Some features need SmartFill Pro, offered as a monthly or yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase, at the prices shown in the app. Purchases are made and billed through the App Store or Google Play under their terms.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings; Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
- If you change phones, use "Restore purchases" with the same store account.
- We may change what's included in Pro or its prices. A price change for an existing subscription follows the store's rules, including any notice they require.
Future online features
If we add optional online features, they may come with additional terms, shown before you turn them on.
No warranty
We work hard to make SmartFill reliable, but it's provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we don't promise that it will be free of errors or meet every need, and we make no other warranties, express or implied.
Limit of liability
As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for loss of data, documents or profits, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for SmartFill in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
Ending these terms
You can stop using SmartFill at any time by uninstalling it. We may end your licence if you seriously break these terms. The sections on your documents, no warranty and limit of liability continue after the terms end.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with a new date, and tell you in the app about important changes. Using the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Disputes will be heard by the courts of the Philippines, unless the law of your country gives you the right to bring them where you live.
