- SmartFill makes no network calls. Your documents, scans, signature and details stay in the app on your phone.
- We don't collect anything about you: no account, no analytics, no ads, no tracking, no crash reports.
- When you share a document, it goes only where you send it, through your own apps.
- Purchases are handled by Apple or Google. We never see your payment details.
- You can delete everything in one step: Profile, then "Delete all my data".
Who we are
SmartFill: PDF Fill & Sign ("SmartFill", "the app") is made by SmartTools Technologies Inc., a company in the Philippines ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app on iPhone, iPad or Android.
What the app stores, and where
To do its job, SmartFill keeps the following in its private storage on your device:
- documents you open, create, scan or import, and the changes you make to them;
- your saved signature and initials (in your phone's secure storage);
- the details you choose to save in your profile, such as your name, email, address or tax ID, used to fill forms;
- templates you save, and text the app recognises in scans (only on your device).
This information stays on your device. Backups of the app's data are turned off, so it isn't copied to iCloud or Google Drive by the app.
What we receive
Nothing. SmartFill makes no network calls and has no account, analytics, advertising, tracking or crash reporting. We don't receive your documents, your signature, your profile details or how you use the app.
Sharing, saving and email
When you choose Share, Email, Email to myself or Save to device, SmartFill hands a copy of the document to the app or service you pick (for example your email app, a messaging app or Files). That app sends or stores it under its own terms. We don't see it.
Camera and photos
The camera is used only while you scan. Photos are read only when you pick them. Scans and photos become part of your documents in the app and stay on your device.
Purchases
SmartFill Pro is sold through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google process the payment and tell the app whether you have Pro. We don't receive your name, card or payment details. Apple's and Google's privacy policies apply to the purchase.
Components from Apple and Google
On Android, the document scanner is Google's, and runs inside Google Play services, which has its own privacy policy. Google libraries for purchases and on-device text recognition are part of the app; SmartFill itself makes no network calls. On iPhone and iPad, text recognition uses Apple's on-device Vision framework.
Children
SmartFill is a general productivity app and isn't directed at children under 13. Because we collect no personal information, we don't knowingly collect any from children.
Deleting your information
In the app, go to Profile and tap "Delete all my data". This removes your documents, signature and initials, profile, templates and recognised text. Uninstalling the app also removes its data.
Your rights
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 and similar laws, you have rights over your personal information. Since your information stays on your device and we hold none of it, you can view, change or delete it yourself in the app at any time. If you have a question, contact us below.
Future features
We plan optional online features, such as finding official forms with AI, sending documents for others to sign, and encrypted sync. Each will be off until you turn it on, and will say exactly what it sends before you do. We'll update this policy before any of them ships.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new date. Important changes will also be shown in the app.
